Rejecting the vehicle's own field, on board
Magnetometers flying today are usually corrected by compensation models fitted to each vehicle, a method with a long record in airborne survey.
We add a second line of defence: a sensor designed to reject the platform's own magnetic field on board, so that less is left for the model to correct.
